Victor Wembanyama's Nike GT Hustle 2 PE Invades in May

French colossus Victor Wembanyama has certainly made an impact in his first year hooping in the NBA, not only for being tied as the tallest player in the game right now, but also for his stats. Averaging 21.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists, the San Antonio Spur has been featuring heavily across industry highlight reels. In fact, he even earned the nickname ‘Alien’ from none other than LeBron James.

This moniker has inspired Wemby’s first shoe with the Swoosh, with Nike set to launch a PE variant of the Zoom G.T. Hustle 2. First glimpsed at All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, the ‘Alien’ colourway is replete with interstellar stylings, including a cosmic print and glow-in-the-dark outsoles. Levitating in green and black, the model also features alien-shaped plaques at the heel and ‘Be Unique Every Day’ below the foot-bed. Finally, metallic Swooshes pay homage to futuristic spacecrafts beaming across the galaxy. In terms of cushioning, the G.T. Hustle 2 utilises a full-length Zoom Air unit stitched to the bottom of the upper.

Originally signing with Nike during his professional career in France, the 7’4″ centre was selected the first overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Victor Wembanyama x Nike G.T. Hustle 2 ‘Alien’ is expected to hit Earth over the coming weeks.
